Although it is always best to design your own tattoo, tattoo books can be a helpful source of information and inspiration to help you get the perfect tattoo for you. There are hundreds of tattoo books. Each tattoo parlor will have their own available for you to peruse, showcasing literally tens of thousands of designs. There will be comic book tattoos, Celtic knots, naval tattoos, kanji, pinup girls, and probably a fair bit of the mythological stuff with dragons, eagles, and ghouls of all sorts which is so well known among tattoo fans. If you are really into tattoo books, you might even order one which shows the tattoos on actual peoples bodies. Then you don't have to simply contemplate the design.
